During this drastic competitive 21st century, education faces unheard-of opportunities and challenges. Education reform become a determinant factor of China's sustainable development. The key factor of education reform is to boost overall diathesis of teachers and to speed up the process of teacher specialization. In terms of this course, seeking the theoretic support is the tough task that we face.John Dewey's educational philosophy idea provides the theoretic foundation of teacher specialization movement. By studying and researching the view of John Dewey, several tentative points of apocalypses are summarized in this dissertation. Hopefully practice of teacher specialization today can get benefit from it.There are 3 parts in this dissertation.The key points of first part are background of John Dewey's view. Aiming at the educational drawbacks at that time that education is divorced from society, as well as from children, John Dewey proposed three main topics, namely, "Education is development, Education is life, and Education is change of experience." John Dewey is against the traditional education, which suppresses the individuality of children significantly. He advocates to respect children and believes that education should center on children. Based on this point, John Dewey raises his educational idea.The second part focuses on analysis of John Dewey's view. John Dewey thought teacher should not be oppressor of children's individuality, nor be an academic governor. On the contrary, teacher should be leader who develops student's ideation, a sponsor and organizer of teaching activity, a investigator of student's thoughts, and a communicator of interactive process between teacher and student. John Dewey doesn't cancel the role of teacher, however, he proposed a higher standard to the teacher.The third part emphasizes author's view on the development of teacher specialization in China and is based on the analysis of John Dewey's opinion. Main points include building up the view on modern teacher, and accelerating the development of specialization of teacher markedly. Teacher should play their role during equal interactive course. Teacher should be developed from technical type to turn over to reflective type.
