Kunming Floating Population Spatial Structure And Management

The population migration and floating are a kind of complicated human phenomenon.This phenomenon exerts wide effect on social life. In abroad, the study on population migration and floating have had more than one hundred years since the English statistist E-G-Ravenstein published the paper named The Law of Migration in 1885.The cause,mechanism,rules of population migration and floating were studied by many researchers from different professional angles.In China,the large scale population floating appeared after Reform and Opening.Moreover,the floating population increased year by year. Inl990's, Chinese floating population surged forward with great momentum. According to the recent investigation, the number of floating population exceeded 80 millions in China Many socalists, demographers, economists and geographers paid more attention to population floating along with the growth of floating population number.The author summarizes and evaluates lots of external and internal documents including the Ravenstein Migration Law, lee Migration Law, Hu zhao liang Migration LawJPush-Pull Theory,Attraction Model,Cost-Result Model,Lewis Model,Ranis-Fei Model,Jorgenson Model, Todaro Model and Migration Transition Theory in this paper. According to the data of the No 5 census , Kunming public security bureau and Yunnan statistics bureau,the author identified the number and concept of floating population in Kunming.The whole features ,spatial features and tendency about Kunming floating population are analyzed.The author puts forward the principles,indexes to divide floating population type regions.In the part of management strategy, the author advances the concept of floating human resources,the cultural integration between floating population and resident population and system innovation. The whole paper are divided into five parts.Part One:Introduction.It summarizes historical and present researches situation of population migration and floating.It shows why to choose this subject,how to study,what research methods to be applied and what content to be studied.Part TworDiscussion of Theory.This part includes identifying eoncept,dividing types.studing laws, researching mechanism and models of floating population.Part Three:The Research on Spatial Structure of Floating Population in Kunming.It analyses social and economic background of Kunming.The whole features,spatial differentiation,spatial change tendency,factors effecting spatial distribution and regional types of Kunming floating population are analysed in this part.Part Four :Exploitation ways and management models of floating human resources in different regions in Kunming.It evaluates social and economic effect of floating population.The author puts forward exploitation ways and management models of floating human resources in different regions in Kunming.Part Five :Conclusion and Discussion .It sums up achievements and limitations in this paper,prospects tendency of floating population research.
