The course standard of the Shanghai's elementary school and high school(the idea solicit draft),which was published in November,2002, has a new orientation about the character and function of Chinese. And it firstly illustrates the following two basic course ideas: to pay attention to accumulation of Chinese and the ability of training student investigative study, to add cultural accumulation to the cultural level of student. It is the widely regarded question by the teaching department of the all levels and the grass roots of the Chinese teachers to how combine teaching practice to accurately understand the idea of course and how to link the advanced idea with the practice of Chinese teaching to adjust teaching action.The text aims at illustrate Chinese character which is showed by language and culture of accumulation. The illustration encloses the following three lays: the history of the course reform, the tide of Shanghai college entrance exam in recent years, the departure of the high school Chinese teaching, and it combines material literature, test paper, teaching material and teaching case.Part One mainly looks back the history of the first course reform and the prophase of the second course reform. At the same time, it emphases on the idea evolution about course quality, course function, course character. Part Two appraises the following three lays via seeing the tide of the Shanghai college entrance exam about Chinese in two years: the exam manual has a clearer partition about ability, the college entrance exam paper has a more particular review about language, the cultural personality has a more evident show. On the base of the above illustration, the text more nails down the stress of the high school Chinese teaching. Part Three uses the first-hand data which is gained by participating in the research of the high school Chinese teaching in Minhang Region recently. Then it explains the compiling type of high school H edition Chinese teaching material, the teaching quality evaluation of test paper and competition paper of high school all levels, the using complexion of try teaching material to observe the following high school Chinese teaching's departure from many angles: to attach importance to skill and to look down on accumulation, to attach importance to memory and look down on experience, attach importance to commentary and look down on education. The text goes deep into finding out the character of Chinese through contrasting the difference between idea and practice.Any idea hangs on testing of practice because Chinese course reform is in the ascendant at the present and the Chinese character and the basic course idea is uncertain. So Part Four don't advance the last view, but shifts to class teaching practice and combine the material teaching case-Li Sao to explicate three thinking about how to effectively convert high school teaching and how to appear the course character.
