The dissertation approaches and expounds the distinctive management mode of non-governmental schools. It proves the development trend of non-governmental schools by clarifying its conception formation, stating its current situation of development and elaborating its managenent characteristics etc. With the case study of Mode Lushan, an important breakthrough in management of non-governmental school comes into sight.Since the reformation and opening of China, non-governmental schools have got tremendous development. With a whole set of policies of reforming and opening published, the development of social economics, the improvement of people's living conditions and the deeply restructuring the education, non-governmental schools are provided with a loose and comfortable political environment, a social economic foundation and a substantial practical situation. To clarify the conception of non-governmental schools can help to purify the people's thoughts and get them to know the essential characteristics of non-governmental education.Non-governmental schools play an important role in the field of Chinese education. It has not only broadened the channels of investing education, increased the ways of offering education and met the needs of people's selecting multi-form and multi-level education, but also broken through the traditional and unitary school system and educational sense, opened up a new prospect in competition and distinctive feature of education.The management of non-governmental schools should abide by and follow the law of Education Management and School Management. The core of School Management is Teaching Management, which is the basic law of School Education as well. School Management is also a kind of Objective Management, of which non-governmental schools appear to be growing in stages, that is to say, different stage has different characteristics. Nowadays, non-governmental schools are heading for Quality Education and Objective Magagement. In order to standardize the development of non-governmental schools; Systematic Management should be carried out, which demands that we set up scientific policies, laws and regulations, build up the marketing machanism. estabish the construction of systematism, guarantee the efficiency and equality, and stabilize the number of teaching faculty and students.Lushan School is a new state-owned voluntary experimental school, trying out the mode "State Owned, Principal Administered, Privately Funded, and Independently Operated". The school has been enforcing Quality Education by fully utilizing the advantages in its school system, faculty organization, teaching facilities, curriculum development and educational environment. It has conducted a series of reformation; after eight years' exploration and practice, through which the school founded a set of systematic and scientific ideas and effective measures of education. A distinctive management mode which turns to be normalized, scientific and democratic, has been established, that is "Principal Administered, Stratification Managed; Faculty Engaged, Competition Cooperated; Observe Proper Restraint, Act with Propriety; Closed Management, Opening Education".The school has got great achievements in the past eight years and set a good example to non-governmental schools oflluman province and the whole country as well.
