Study Of Chinese Research University Teacher Employment Program

Entry into 21st century, with the development of science and technology and the emergency of knowledge economy age, human society is facing with deep-going changes. No exception for the university. As the main part of higher-level education system, university has to take an important role not only in producing and transmitting knowledge, but also in providing consultation and professional research to facilitate and support the development of the society.In order to overcome the challenges and opportunities of knowledge economy age, domestic universities have to adjust strategy to construct themselves as research university according to international standards. Hence, first-level universities are gradually approaching to the target of building the research university by reinforcing international competence and influence.In terms of above, this article describes the indigenous concepts and characteristics of research university and explores faculty recruit system for Chinese research universities under combining the Chinese reality and advanced experience of foreign countries'. Also, this article gives some constructive suggestions to universities and future researchers.
