Students Idolatry Present Situation And Development Research

Psychological analysis, the characteristics and general conclusions of teenagers' idolatry are introduced. Using "Idolatry Questionnaire for middle-school students" designed by the author, studied the idolatry of 726 middle-school students in Nanjing. Results showed: (1) "singer and film star'' are most worshipped. Difference of distribution of idols exists between students of different gender, grade and school. (2)There is a difference of idols' gender between boys and girls. (3)"Sensory Enjoyment" and "Social Character Appreciating" are two main factors of causes of idolatry for teenagers. Causes of idolatry differ significantly in sort of idols, gender, grade and class of school. (4)Idols' effects on students are mainly: "Emotion Adjustment", "Stimulation", "Occupation Anticipation" and "Character Learning". Idols' effect on teenagers also differs in sort of idols, gender, grade and class of school. (5)Idolatry begins at age 12.
