The article mainly discusses the course of development of educational modernization in the middle part of Jiangsu since later period of Qing Dynasty. And on this base, the author probes into some matters interrelated educational modernization. The aim is to reveal the route and status of Jiangsu educational modernization and to get a deeper understanding for people as to characteristics which lie in the course of Jiangsu educational modernization. The paper makes a systematic observe and study to educational modernization of Jiangsu in a small range but deep level. It will provide a reference data for study educational modernization of Jiangsu province and even the whole nation.Employing Marxist dialectical materialism and historical materialism as guide to make a systematic study to the course of development about educational modernization in the middle part of Jiangsu, The author does the research with comparison method, information method, illustration method and positive method.
