In physical education, some individuals became the health-weak group because of their health condition, personal interests or sport skills. They couldn't accomplish the goal of physical education owing to poor health, obesity, relapse from chronic or acute disease, disability or insufficient sport organs and we call them health-weak students. In this article, we investigated the current situation of six hundred and twenty-six health-weak students'physical education and their curriculum-setting from eleven universities in Nanjing. We found that there were three universities (occupying 27.3%), which did not include the special RE. health care education class, and the health-weak students had to study together with the normal students. Most of them were at probation or sick leave. In the rest eight universities (occupying 72.7%), the curriculum-setting was unreasonable and the teaching model was obsolete. They took the "one size fits all" method in the plan-making, the teaching content and the choice of the class forms, which couldn't incarnate the teaching ideology of "teaching students in accordance of their aptitude and what they want". Therefore, the health-weak students couldn't obtain very good recovery and exercise, which, of course, was against the theory objective of "the Plan of Civil Physical Training" carried out by the national physical culture commission and the "Quality Education" by the State Educational Committee.So we give the following advice:1. The leaders should attach sufficient importance to the health-weak students' physical education.2. Improve the plan of curriculum-setting and enrich the courses of P.E. health care education. Establish the idea of "people oriented" and "health first" and integrate theory with practice.3. Keep the personal record of health-weak students, build guiding-center of recovery for students and set up different plans for different students.4. Search various evaluation systems. Imply process-evaluation, self-evaluation, and result-evaluation. 5. Allocate special teachers for health-weak students and assure them have the chance to get further study.6. Share the sport sources among different universities. Pay attention to special need for some equipment and hold races for health-weak students.
