After putting forward "Strong Programme", Edinburgh School developed the first research programme for Sociology of Scientific Knowledge (SSK), which was Interests Model. The research subject of Interests Model inherits Mannheim's Sociology of Knowledge directly. They try to prove that scientific knowledge and society existence or society structure are related closely by experiential case research, and find out the social cause of the production and evaluation of the scientific knowledge. This article discusses how the Interests Model took "Strong Programme" as guideline, took the sociological finitism as important theory gist, took interests as resonance, built up the inevitable relation of the scientific knowledge and the society structure, then posed general sociology theories that explained the scientific knowledge by the cause and effect.Almost all worked as scientist before, the scholars of Edinburgh School try hard to develop scientific theories that can explain science, and so they show scientism inclination within their theories. As the first experiential research programme of SSK, Interests Model was subjected to numerous attack that came from inside and outside of SSK. Its studies really have some shortages, can not solve problems lie in paradigm of the earlier sociology knowledge completely, but the research topic that it established have to be envisaged by SSK, and its research also inspires to SSK in establishing general theories concerning science and society in the future.
