At present, the ongoing reform of history courses in the middle school has proposed higher and greater demands to the numerous teachers of history of middle school in aspects of course philosophy, structure, content, implementation and appraisal etc. The success of the reform depends to a great extent on the teacher's attitude to the new courses and their personal professional qualities. Teacher is the crucial factor in the construction of new history courses. On the other hand, the new history courses also supply broad development space for the teachers. Training, learning and developmental teacher appraisement advocated by the new courses, which aim to make the teachers adapted to the new courses, will promote the overall development of teachers of history in the middle school.In the article, the author analyzed the relations between the new history courses and history teachers of middle school and the challenges faced by the teachers from the new courses. Focusing on the actual problems met by the teachers in the implementation of the new history courses, the author discussed the questions like how to handle the challenges of the new courses and how the history teachers of middle school to adapt themselves to the new history courses as well as personal development issue of the teachers in the implementation of the new history courses.
