The Chinese teaching is not only to teach students some basicknowledge of Chinese so as to help them acquire the ability to use thelanguage, such as choosing the right words and making propersentences, but also to enhance their cultural awareness so as to payattention to passing down the cultural heritage and enriching culturalknowledge of the nation. To accomplish such a goal in Chineseeducation, it is necessary to make research on the close relationbetween the Chinese language and the national culture and on thenational cultural root of Chinese education. Meanwhile, the activities incontemporary Chinese language education should be dissected from thenational cultural perspective. We should also make necessaryreflections on the gain and loss of the activities in Chinese languageeducation and promote the national cultural awakening of Chineselanguage education in order to better carry out the innovation andreform of the Chinese curriculum and make Chinese language teachingreally take on the national characteristics and significance in the lightof national spirit and grandeur, which allows students to acquire theaccumulation of the national cultural knowledge and the cultivation ofnational spirit imperceptibly. This thesis makes an exploration exactlyfrom such a perspective.The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part is about the nationalcultural root of Chinese education. There is an isomorphic relation betweenthe Chinese language and the national culture, in which the Chineselanguage is the geologic formatio of the accumulation of the national cultureas well as an important part of it. The national culture is the inherentproperty of the Chinese language and Chinese language education is thenational education of the mother tongue. A nation's mother tongue is thehistorical record of the national experience, national thoughts and nationalfeelings as well as the real reflection of the specific national culturalthoughts and cultural spirit. The language objects in the education of themother tongue, specifically as to the teaching context of the Chineselanguage, are the texts which are displayed in the form of the Chineselanguage. Not only the texts of the Chinese language take on profoundnational cultural spirit but also the Chinese characters, serving as the carrierof the Chinese language, presents the cultural information related to theChinese nation. Therefore, the education of the Chinese language shouldscrutinize, expound and promote Chinese characters and the cultural styleand cultural traits of the texts. The character of a nation is well shown in theeducation of the Chinese language and China's Chinese language educationrefers to the educational activities with teaching the Chinese language as thebasic teaching contents. So great attention shall be paid to the characteristicsof the Chinese language and the educational traditions so as to demonstratethe national spirit and grandeur. In general, the Han nationality is good atimage thinking, namely, artistic thinking, and it embodies the integratethinking of the theory that man is integral part of nature and the directthinking of the theory of getting from looking . The integrate thinkingillustrates the integration perspective of Chinese language education and thetrait of image thinking demonstrates its perceptive perspective. The second part discusses Chinese education from the national culturalperspective. The Chinese teaching is an important part of the traditionalChinese culture. The thinking patterns, the value orientation, the standardsof social conduct, the educational concepts and the teaching approaches, etc.,which are involved in the traditional culture, all take on the national traitsand the cultural style, influence and restrict the contemporary life andeducation. As a result, the innovation and development of contemporaryChinese language education should take into account the succession,development, selection and creation of the traditional philosophy ofeducation and interpret it in the light of contemporary meaning. Thephilosophic thought of cultivating both benevolence and wisdom providesvalue reference and cultural perspective for the contemporary Chineselanguage education. To make the Chinese language education lifelike is theextension of its meaning as a tool, which extends the space of Chineselanguage education and the exploration of the Chinese curriculum as well asprojecting the ontological value of the Chinese textbooks so as to make itclose to life. The thoughts of using rites and music in Chinese languageeducation scrutinize the Chinese language education from the aestheticperspective and emphasize that the teaching should penetrate into the core ofthe texts beyond the technical level, which requires us to base ourselves onthe characteristics of Chinese language teaching and aesthetic psychological...
