After the September 18th Incident in 1931,China entered the period of Anti-Japanese War.The intelligentsia participated in the Anti-Japanese and National Salvation Movement in the way of 'cultural resistance',one of the outstanding performances is that the national history textbooks of middle school attach importance to the writing of traditional Chinese culture.Since modern times,there have been endless cultural disputes between Chinese and Western cultures,and different versions of history textbooks have different views on culture.In the 1930s,with the intensification of Japanese aggression,the National Government launched the cultural renaissance movement aimed at reconstructing the value of Confucian culture.In addition to the consideration of building its ruling legitimacy and establishing authority,it also had the intention of restoring traditional culture and shaping national spirit to unite the people in the Anti-Japanese War.In this context,the national history textbooks of middle school took the responsibility of promoting traditional culture and shaping the national spirit.After the all-round Anti-Japanese War in 1937,the understanding of academia was further deepened.The National Government proposed new requirements for the traditional cultural writing of history textbooks.Based on the two phases before and after the all-round Anti-Japanese War,this paper examines the writing of Chinese traditional culture in the national history textbooks to explore the basic situation,characteristics,significance and limitations This paper selects some representative national history textbooks of middle school during the Anti-Japanese war to discuss the basic situation,writing characteristics,significance and limitations of Chinese traditional culture writing.The period from 1931 to 1937 is the first stage that the national history textbooks of middle school attached importance to the writing of Chinese traditional culture.During this period,with the Japanese invasion step by step,the intelligentsia had corresponding response and resistance.For example,the cultural community used drama,music,film and other forms of literature to propagate the war of resistance.Among these new cultural trends,China-centered Culture Debate in 1935 deserves attention because it makes the Chinese traditional culture return to the public's vision.Based on the situation of Anti-Japanese War,the National Government also changed the emphasis of education policy from the Three People's Principles to the education of national spirit.With the help of the new achievements of history and archaeology,the national history textbooks of middle school strived to write out the context of the development of Chinese traditional culture,so as to carry forward the traditional culture and reshape the national spirit.During this period,the Chinese traditional culture writing in the national history textbooks of middle school focused on the material cultural level.After the outbreak of the all-round Anti-Japanese War in 1937,the writing of Chinese traditional culture in the national history textbooks of middle school rosed to a new stage,which clarified the evolution of Chinese traditional culture more clearly.In the war environment when the Japanese invaded China in an all-round way,the National Government carried out the wartime educational policy and paid more attention to the education of Chinese traditional culture to meet the mission of the Anti-Japanese War and found a state.The government's examination of textbooks also tended to be strict.The writing of traditional culture in the history textbooks showed a new feature of blending official ideology.During this period,the national history textbooks of middle school paid more attention to the spiritual level.During the Anti-Japanese War,the national history textbooks attached great importance to the writing of Chinese traditional culture,because the National Government launched the cultural renaissance movement,and the historical,the cultural and educational circles had a new understanding of traditional culture when the Chinese nation was facing a serious national crisis.The writing of Chinese traditional culture in national history textbooks of middle school had gradually developed from the early exploration and fragment exposition to the systematic and relatively complete theories,which made Chinese traditional culture become an extremely important content in the national history textbooks of middle school.By analyzing the writing of Chinese traditional culture in national history textbooks of middle school during the Anti-Japanese War,this paper aims to explain the important role and unique works of national history textbooks of middle school in the cultural resistance war.
