| Learning style is one of the important factors that influence second/foreign language learning, and great attention has been paid to the research on learning style ever after its emergence. There are different ways to define learning style and it is a new research topic to investigate the learning style in the Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) environment. This paper examines self-reported learning style of 306 university students and aims to investigate students' learning styles and the relationship between learning style factors and the attitude towards the use of courseware for language learning in a Chinese context. The research reveals that the more students are exposed to NCE-Online, the higher the correlations between learning style factors and students' perceived importance of NCE-Online. Another finding is that if students hold more positive attitudes towards net resources, they tend to vote for the teaching model which involves more use of courseware. Finally the research finds that the reasons for the infrequent use of NCE-Online are mainly external. |
