English Tabloid Produced By Cooperative Learning

The Outline of Nine- Year Education in Junior School shows us the main aim of English learning is to make the students grasp the elementary knowledge and skills for using the language, arouse the interests to the language, form good habits of studying, and get the foundation for further study. However, what we can commonly find in the lessons in China is that, the English studying is still for the examination. It's also hard work for the students by being kept listening, writing and sitting quietly, being thrown into passivity. The success in English studying depends on if language can be used freely. So communication and practice should always be important. What I intend to focus on in this article is how to develop the ability of using the language by the way of cooperation .Based on the related theory and study, I pondered deeply over the problem and formed the theme-based practicing platform, called "Making the newspaper with your friends". The study examined the implementation outcomes of using a cooperative learning model in practical theme— group based newspaper making. In order to implement this study, we encourage the students to learn and make at the same time. In the area of "Making the newspaper with your friends" ,there were plans for ten activities. The writer studied in the way of Educational Action Research .She took a systematic look at the educational practice and recorded what has been done, and why it was done during the study. She also Collected the data, investigated the events and inferred the reflecting of further study in cooperative skill.Being taught carefully and thoughtfully, these students showed their interests in English study, and formed a good relationship in the group. The study worked well in promoting the positive interdependence, individual accountability, interpersonal skills and face-to-face promotive interaction.
