| Physical Education is one style of culture, with health, nobleness and civilization as its features. The development of physical culture is the key to the national thriving and social civilization. The sports humanistic spirit is the core of the sports career, not only the guide of sports spirit, but also the national feature. It is rich in content and its special functions.Faced with unprecedented social transformation, the government of China has proposed the idea of building a harmonious society which has given the society a tremendous shock. Chinese people's mind and spirit are confronted with great challenges, as well as human-centered sports. The absence of sports humanistic spirit would lead directly to the value conflicts, moral and belief crisis. At present, the research on humanistic spirit of sports focuses on the relationship between the human spirits, sports institutions and the strengthening of humanistic qualities of physical colleges and the sports professional students. Since there isn't enough interaction studies on sports humanistic spirit and harmonious society, especially the lack of formal articles concerning about how to build sports humanistic spirit in the new social system, this thesis aims to define sports humanistic spirit with the comprehensive use of certain research methods, such as document reading, comparative analysis and logical conduction. This thesis also analyses the present condition of sports humanistic spirit and taps the value of healthy sports culture, all-round human development and accelerated human socialization, which are led by sports humanistic spirit. In addition, it proposes that sports humanistic spirit in harmonious society should show democracy and monocracy, institutional innovation, fairness and justice, integrity and fraternity, stability and orderly, should be in harmony with nature as the goal of development and should follow scientific development concept, the combination principle of reality and inheritance. The sports humanistic spirit in harmonious society are also required to learn and adhere to innovation and the sustainabledevelopment concept to promote sports science and the open minds at the new stage. In one word, it intends to promote better sports development and make sports humanistic spirit play a more significant role in the process of civilization in human life and society. After studying on this theme, the conclusions are as follows:1 The sports humanistic spirit is a reflection of cultural spirit. It pursues the value orientation of the true, the good and the beautiful, and it considers the development of human beings as its ultimate purpose. It also focuses on the existance, the significance and the value of human beings. The values, the ethics, the thinking patterns and the behavioral ways which are included in physical sports are all the reflection and the symbol of the sports humanistic spirit.2 The sports humanistic spirit plays an significant role in guiding a healthy sports culture and values, stimulating the all-round and harmonious development of individuals and promoting the socializing process of human beings.3 The approach of scientific development, the promotion and blooming of sport culture and the construction of fine humanistic environment proposed by the principle of constructing hamonious society can greatly promote the sports humanistic spirit.4 Nowadays, the spirit moves forward and upward. However, there are still many problems arrising at the same time: the emphasis on science rather than humanities, the strong commercial atmosphere, the danger of belief and valuation, and the declination of moral standard. All these phenomenon show that the construction of the harmonious sports humanistic spirit is irresistible.5 The humanistic spirit in harmonious society should show democracy and monocracy, institutional innovation, equity and equality, integrity and fraternity, stability and orderly, and should be in harmony with nature as a developing goal. It should follow scientific development concept and the combination principle of reality, inheritance. It also should learn and adhere to innovation and the sustainable development concept to promote sports science and the open minds atthe new stage.6 In the harmonious society, we should construct the sports humanistic spirit which includes the correct sports values, the patriotism and the collectivism, the construction of sports humanistic discipline, the perfect knowledge structure, the reasonable thinking patterns and the positive sports behaviour.7 This thesis has proposed several strategies in order to transform the value orientation, strengthen the construction of the sports humanistic courses, combine it with scientific spirit, reinforce its popularization and dissemination, bring it into the higher educational system and create sports humanistic social atmosphere.
