Through the analysis of microdata, this paper finds that education inequality is an important cause of income inequality. Then, the CGE model was established to propose two solutions for mitigating income inequality and simulate analysis. Two approaches were to adjust the education structure and adjust the income structure.Firstly, the article adopts four survey data from the Chinese household income survey database. After preprocessing the data, the degree of education inequality in China is calculated through the calculation formula of the Gini coefficient of education.Based on this,it is analyzed that education in China for the past 20 years is not Equally changing trends;then, the Gini coefficient of education is broken down according to the urban-rural-urban and gender classifications, and the contribution of each social group to educational inequality is measured;furthermore, educational inequalities are verified by establishing income function equations. This is the main reason for income inequality. Finally,GAMS software is used to construct the CGE model, which proposes two solutions to mitigate income inequality and performs simulation analysis. This article is guided by practical problems, starts with data features, and builds models for analysis. It finds that(1)Education fairness of china has been significantly improved, and the 9-year compulsory education policy has been effectively promoted;(2)There is a significant difference in the degree of education inequality between urban and rural areas, and the level of education in cities is higher than in rural areas;(3)There is a significant difference in gender inequality among the sexes, and the male are more equitably educated than the female;(4)Reducing educational inequality can effectively reduce the level of income inequality, especially by increasing the proportion of receiving compulsory education, which can effectively reduce income inequality;(5)Reducing the level of compulsory education, the difference in income of employed people can effectively reduce the level of income inequality;(6)The income inequality and the economic growth are inverted U-shaped,and the impact of educational inequality on economic growth presents a W-shaped relationship.
