In this study, we investigate and analyze the situation and the effects of DIS ( Digital Information System ) applied to physics experimentation education in high school under the background of " The 2nd Curriculum Innovation" in Shanghai. Based on the new education theory combined with the teaching practice in high school physics, we try to provide some instruction and help for high school teachers in their experiment teachings. The prolegomenon introduces the background, the main contents, the methodology and the purpose of this study. The rest of this paper is divided into five parts. In the 1st part of the paper, the status of physics experimentation education with DIS in high school is introduced briefly. The evolution of DIS in our country and abroad is analyzed, the principle of physics experimentation education with DIS in high school is introduced, its theoretical basis, as well as its important position are pointed out.The 2nd part presents the investigation results of physics experimentation education with DIS in high school, including the DIS configuration, utilization and the education modes. The 3rd part analyzes the situation of physics experimentation education with DIS in high school, including the characteristics of its hardware and software, the development of teachers, the transform of students' study modes. The bottleneck of DIS is pointed out in the end of the part. The 4th part provides suggestions to improve utilization and efficiency of DIS.Finally, based on above analysis and my own teaching practice in physics experimentation with DIS, the prospect of DIS is explored.
