Chinese Ancient Character Education And Dictionary Compilation

With a long history of Chinese characters education, there are a lot of books on characters education among Chinese ancient classic documents. Shi Zhou Pian, Cang Jie Pian and Ji Jiu Pian are books of this kind. Though many of these books have not existed today, they had brought serious impacts to the compilation of dictionaries. To expound these impacts is the theme of this dissertation.In order to discourse upon this thesis, the author discusses basic details about characters education in ancient times of China, such as characters teaching methods, etc.At the same time, this dissertation use Cang Jie and Shuo Wen as examples to explain why and how the characters education books brought serious impacts to the compilation of dictionaries.
