| Nowadays, with the rapid development of internet, it has become an indispensable part in people's life. Following its development, a great number of researchers in the world study and explore it deeply from various perspectives. After a comprehensive literature review, we can see their study objects are almost adult and did not attach importance to adolescent who accounts for increasing part of internet users. In addition, they pay more attentions to the problem of internet addiction and less to the use of internet services. All these existing limitations make it difficult to guide and interfere adolescents' internet use for parents and educators.This study explores the relationships of personality, social support, social anxiety, and the use preference for internet services by surveying a sample of 339 adolescents through questionnaires. The result shows that (1) adolescents' use preference for the internet services includes four factors: internet social service, internet information service, internet recreational service, internet trade service. Only front three factors are involved in this study; (2) there are influences of gender and grade on the use of Social Networking; (3) extraversion and neuroticism have direct and positive effects on the use of Social Networking; (4) extraversion has an indirect influence on the use of Social Networking through social support; (5) there are influences of grade on the use of information service; (6) Openness, objective social support and the use of social support have direct and significant effects on the use of information service provided by internet; (7) Agreeableness, extraversion have indirect influences on the use of information service provided by internet through objective social support, perceived social support and the use of social support; (8) Agreeableness, extraversion have indirect influences on the use of recreational service provided by internet through objective social support, perceived social support and the use of social support; (9) the use of social support have significant negative effects on the use of three services provided by internet.The results indicate that adolescents' personality and conditions of social support may affect their use preference for internet services, so parents and educators should guide and interfere in their behaviors online according to their characters. Only in this way can we help adolescents treat and use internet healthily. In addition, the use of social support has a role of interference to the use of internet services, therefore, it is most important to make adolescents wake up to these supports and know how to use them when given all kinds of supports. |
