Based on the documentary summary and serial researches of Zhang Feng, etc., taken the high school students as the objects of study, we probe into their pathological characteristics of internet-using behavior and their relation with motive models. The main purpose is to extensively and deeply understand the relationship between their pathological characteristics of internet-using behaviors and their motive. It also provide psychological basis for remedying and guiding high school students' pathological intemet-using behaviors. At first, we examine the applicability of "undergraduates' Pathological Internet-Using Behavior Sheet (PIUBS-CS)" and "Undergraduates' Internet-Using Motives Sheet (IUMS-CS)" for the high school students. We also investigate the characteristics of Pathological Internet-Using Behavior and motive of high school students. Second, we do a research on the relationship between the two variable factors, which are the high school students' pathological internet-using behaviors and their internet-using motives. The conclusions obtained from studies are as follows:(1) There is similarity between the Pathological Internet-Using Behavior of high school students and undergraduates. Both of them are composed of Internet-Using impulsion, distraction/escape and online superiority complex, and Internet-Using impulse has the strongest explanation ability.(2) The structure of Pathological Internet-Using Motives of high school students is similar to the undergraduates. Both of them consist of information-achieving motive and Social-Effective motive.(3) It has the high credit standing and efficiency when high school students applying the undergraduates' Pathological Internet-Using Behavior Sheet (PIUBS-CS)" and "university students' Internet-Using Motive Sheet (IUMS-CS)".(4)Based on the Social-Effective motive but the high school students who use the internet areapt to form the Pathological Internet-Using Behavior model, therefore, the Internet-UsingMotives Model can efficiently prognosticate how the Pathological Internet-Using BehaviorModel formed.(5)Compared with female students, male students have much higher internet-using impulsionand online superiority complex, and have more inclination to use the internet which based onthe Social-Effective motives.(6)Grade one students have more inclination to use pathological internet than grade two andgrade three students.(7)Although there is some association between the time and frequencies of online andPathological Internet-Using Behaviors and motives, it seemly can't be taken as the mainpredict guideline of high school students' internet-using behaviors and motives. |
