Gender Studies, The Primary Language Textbooks

The question of the gender becomes more and more important nowadays in the world. By education constructing the new circumstance of the sexual justice is human's aim. Children have realized their gender when they were young, but the thoughts on sexual difference and sexual justice do not come suddenly, it needs our education. Textbook especially Chinese textbook plays an important role during this process, for it is one of the most original formal materials to the students, and it can best deliver the gerentocratic ideology as well as the value of the most people in our society. The analyze of the Chinese textbook, especially analyzing the roles of the textbook can find some new information that the textbook not only can make students more and more intelligent, but also take an important part on shaping a new sexual value. During these years, there are a lot of educational innovations in our country, but the injustice of the sexual questions and the sex stereotype are still staying in our textbooks. Now a new reformation of curriculum and textbook begins, realizing the sex stereotype and the injustice becomes more significant.At first this research chooses two sets of Chinese textbooks, one comes from Jiangsu province, the other is from Hebei province. These textbooks are primary Chinese schoolbooks which are widely used in our country, so the pictures and characters of these books are the central object in this research. The quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis are the most important way to do this research. And then I choose a typical female image HuaMulan. She was a hero in our history and fought for the old system, at last won the respect of people. I choose this figure and try to analyze how the writer delineates her. At the end of my research I will find the result of sexual question and why the students shape this sexual value.
