Childness, the nature of the child, is the root of the children's education. But in the ordinary education, as a result of the social utilitarianism and incorrect thinking of the child, the childness was regarded as immature and innocent. In course of time childness tend to fall into neglect and strangle. As starting with the conflict of theory and practice, this paper strive to elucidate that childness is a heart of child in nature, as well as the human nature and inborn resource.At the first part of this paper, the author tries to make clear the meaning of childness by tracing to the history source, elucidating the concept and explaining the characteristic, and strives to put up a deep study about the word "childness" from longitudinal (the development of history) and latitudinal (the compare of characteristic).The second part begins with the concept of life, where there is a revelation about the living state which the children should have and the living state in fact. The influence of childness on the children's life was displayed as that childness fights off the blinding of the conventional force strongly and overcomes the durance of the utilitarianism effectively. There is a conclusion that childness makes children's life better and is important to children and children's education.The neglect and stranglehold with childness in the children's education will be pointed out at the third part. There are three pieces of advice about how to protect childness in the education: regard children highly, protect childhood zoology, protect children's game.Education is not only for the development of the children, but also to give children a more happy living time. Childness is the nature of the children's happy living.
