The Chinese eighth curriculum reform begun in 2001, it stressed the learning of students is realistic, significative and adaptive for the need of contemporary life and intending development. Its core factor is developing students' scientific literacy which has triune aim-training mode: knowledge and technology, process and method, sensibility, attitude and view of value. Technology, process, method, sensibility, attitude and view of value cann't be got by acceptant learning like knowledge, they can only be got by taking part in activities in given context. So situated teaching becomes a important tache and strategy of implementing new curriculum idea.The article chose "comparative educative research on situated teaching of the new curriculum" as research orientation. Based on the theoretical analysis and summary of studies and practice, the paper explores the effective way of practicing situated teaching in new chemistry curriculum in high school. The article is composed of five parts.The first part introduces the background of this research, the practical significance and the structure of the research content;the second part introduces the theory of situated education and its influence on teaching and teaching material, mainly analyzes the character of famous chemistry curriculum;The third part analyzes the character of chemistry teaching material to developing situated teaching by comparing the《Salter Advanced Chemistry》with our new chemistry curriculum;The fourth part introduces the practice research: investigating the status of situated teaching in Jinling middle school and analyzing a teaching case, uaing foreign excellent case for reference and practicing teaching in Ninghai middle school;The fifth part countercharges the effective way of practicing situated teaching based on the teaching material, teaching and teachers.The research results provide the theory, practice methods for the development of situated teaching material and teaching.
