In recent years, with the two-way communication of internationaleducation becoming increasingly close, China has introduced many excellent foreigneducational concepts and methods. The Advanced Placement Program of U.S.(i.e. U.S.Advanced Placement courses or the project of AP courses, which developed courses inhigh schools as the students’ electives.) is in this context the introduction and eventuallythe rapid development of education in some developed cities of China. PekingUniversity has launched our own Advanced Placement courses "China AdvancedPlacement course"(also known as China AP courses) in January2013. Although ourAdvanced Placement launching is in a short time and in all aspects of immaturity, but itadds to the optimization of the curriculum in China’s high schools, diversifies themeans of university entrance examinations and effectively promotes the development ofsecondary education China. The paper focuses on the in-depth comparative analysis of AP chemistrycurriculum (When used alone hereinafter referring to the "American AP Chemistry" and"Chinese Chemistry Advanced Curriculum). In order to provide useful lessons foroptimizing our high school chemistry curriculum, to diversify the means of ourcollege entrance examination, and to provide help for the chemistry teachers whoengage in teaching Advanced Placement courses and related research in the highschools.Through extensive literature research, I have obtained a comprehensiveunderstanding of the American AP Chemistry Curriculum and Examinations. In order toknow the AP Chemistry situation in the United States, I also interviewed Warren and theother American teachers of education in Sichuan. In order to comprehend the APChemistry situation conducted in China, I watched the whole process of AP ChemistryClass of Mr. He Shuyin, a full-time teacher working in Chengdu MeiShi InternationalSchool. At the same time keeping track on the establishment and actual teaching of our Advanced Placement chemistry courses in the country. This paper all studies thedifferences in the chemistry curriculum between Sino-US "Advanced PlacementCourses", comparing the status and role in college entrance examination of the twocountries. This paper is a preliminary comparison study on AP Chemistry course inCurriculum and Evaluation of Sino-US high schools by means of in-depth comparativeanalysis of the AP Chemistry and Chemistry of the University Placement, its course requirements, course content, classroom and laboratory teaching strategies. Meanwhile, it involvescomparative analysis of the differences between Chinese and American high schoolsabout the knowledge of AP chemical Examination structural questions, test features, performance evaluation methods, finally, my paper reflects on the necessity of the highschool Advanced Placement courses in chemistry problems and shortcomings that existin China’s educational practice. Learning from the developed countries, it is pointed outthat, in order to promote China’s Advanced Placement Chemistry curriculumdevelopment and continuous optimization, the educational philosophy and experiencemust be enhanced. The results of my study show that Sino-US "Advanced Placement Courses"chemistry curriculum in high schools are mainly aimed at cultivating the scienceliteracy of the chemistry students, promoting early detection of chemical talent. Theresults also illustrate the agency of the creation of our high school Advanced Placementcourses in chemistry and the deficiencies in the evaluation system, an urgent need to setscientific chemistry curriculum standards and its systematic assessment.
