Since the new curriculum reform, Chinese education teaching idea has changed to some extent. In the chemistry teaching, textbook is an essential tool for teaching. But the current middle school chemistry textbook content and layout are relative simple. What’s more, the scope of knowledge is not very wide and the science is relative poor, so that students can not by reading the textbook culture of scientific thinking and methods. For a long time, the concept of the amount of substance has been one of the important concepts of Chemistry Teaching in high school,it runs through the high school chemistry which is at the core position in chemical calculation.In this paper, the "high school chemistry textbook compilation to’amount of substance’ reader, for example" as the research subject, uses the literature method, theoretical research method, interview method,practice and research method, questionnaires and other methods. Through the review of the related literature and the analysis of the summarized materials, and the Chemical Textbook between China and foreign countries, Zhong Xue Su teaching edition and version of the new curriculum standards of teaching, plan design reader theory basis and theoretical basis, basis "amount of substance" reading writing guiding ideology, basic framework of constructing readers and on the basis of thedesign of "amount of substance" reader. Compared with the middle school chemistry textbook in this chapter, the reading book added a solution solubility and solute mass fraction calculation.The dissertation is divided into introduction, body and conclusion.The first part(Chapter 1: Introduction): to clarify the research background, analysis of the research status of the amount of material at home and abroad, and textbooks among China, America and the Soviet Union to teaching edition and version of the curriculum standards for comparison, summarized the teaching versions and standard of different points and shortcomings, so as to obtain the purpose and significance of this study.The second part part(chapter2, 3, 4,5): Chapter 2 is the theoretical basis of this study, including the concept of core(materials, high school chemistry textbook) definition; Chapter 3 is the "amount of substance"reader written profiles and "amount of substance" reader written in specific content, mainly including " amount of substance, gas molar volume, solubility and solute mass fraction, substance concentration,based on the molar ratio of chemical formula calculation of five parts of contents. Reading and life are closely linked, the experimental part increased with the knowledge of chemistry elective. The fourth chapter is the survey and analysis of "amount of substance".The third part(Chapter 6: summarize the research and deficiency):with a chapter to the reader using investigation analysis, further summary and evaluation, and the inadequacies of the study.Through investigation and analysis of "amount of substance" readers use, the research and practice results show that the reader has a readable,scientificity and interest whether the junior high school students and high school students are able to master the basic knowledge after reading the reader all by themselves and apply to practice or not. The dissertation is closely linked to reading and science, technology, society and environment, to cultivate students’ scientific literacy and scientific consciousness.
