Tao Xingzhi, a great educator and a fighter for democracy in latter-day times, devoted himself to the career of the country's liberation,democracy and education all his life. Ding the 30 years education profession, he leaned the strength to transform Chinese traditional education, and positively participated in the construction of the new education which comply with the time development. Taking the popularization of the public education as the goal, he found the Chinese characteristic education ideology, including the most elementary theory-Life Education System and the theories such as popularization education, vocational education, social education and so on.The empathy with the people is the ceramic notifies the education ideology most base to accumulate the level: in which he promoted the idea,"Education for the People", and thought of"People's Supremacy",serving the people heart and soul as the essential significance and value direction. In addition, the theory makes life and education united by the teaching theory,"the Unit of Teaching,Learning and Doing"to make people's subjectivity come true. The Humanism Education Thought, which related the old to the modern, the west to the east, was constructed on the basis of the combination of Confucian thoughts such as Confucius and Mencius and the west advanced education thoughts such as Dewey. It was also constructed by the life education practice, which made the education scientific and democratic. It was constructed on the purpose of founding an ideal society. Overall, the Humanism Education Thought by Tao Xingzhi is one practice education theory, and also one kind of social reform theory, his education thought and practice, not only promoted the Chinese modernization education and the world modernization education communication, moreover impelled the education modernization . It has great realistic significance and current value to our country's educational reform and development.
