Reconstruction Of The Industrialization Process Of China's Rural Social Capital

Building a new socialist countryside is parallel with propelling the process of industrialization. This essay makes a research on rural society which is under the process of industrialization in the perspective of social capital, and puts an emphasis on the social basis in the construction of the rural. A civil and harmonious socialist new rural society not only requires the development of economic influence but also requires the common development of mind mentality and culture of the rural and its residents. Social capital represents the figure of rural society assembly. The enlarger of the column of rural social society is a basis of the development of the countryside and is also a strong foundation of prosperity and toward well-being civilization harmony and governance. Social capital contains and promotes the social need of human being and an emphasis on the community which will propel the construction of a harmonious society that bases on the development of economy politics culture and society. So it is natural to put an emphasis on the social basis of the construction of a new socialist countryside which will bring the countryside a common development.This research first sheds a light on all the fruits of the domestic and the overseas systematically, then proposes four assumptions on rural social capital based on the theoretical study and practical research of rural society that under the process of industrialization; According to the research references, the paper analyzes the social capital of village under the process of industrialization, proves some of the assumptions right and others wrong, finds out how rural social capital reconstructs under the process of industrialization, that is to say, the conclusion of the essay: in the process of industrialization, the trust, particularistic trust is stable, universalistic trust is added selectively; the wish to participates in cooperation is mixed with rational thinking and whether to take part in co-operational activities takes the benefit as guidance; the difference of long-distance network increases while near-distance is lower, the overall network density is high; the formal institution exert weak function in the countryside, while the informal institution still plays a vital role in the countryside. The thesis then refines the influence that industrialization advancement plays on rural social capital's reconstruction. In the last part, the thesis points out what should be researched in further study.The author believed that, the innovation in this paper mainly displays in the following two aspects:First, the thesis discusses the rural social capital in the macroscopic background of industrialization advancement which provides a new analytical angle of view for social capital research. This promotes the theory's integration to the Chinese society and will be beneficial to better grasping the connotation of industrialization.Second, based on the analysis of investigational material, the paper obtains several valuable propositions, discusses the rural society in the industrialization advancement and analyzes the social foundation of the new socialist countryside construction simultaneously, which provides a theoretical basis and practical support for the building of a new socialist countryside.
