Education equity is one of the important components of social equity. It is an extension of social equity in the realm of education and an important way to realize the social equity. The educational inequity is the most serious inequity in society. This has already jeopardized the fair baseline of society.This paper will discuss four questions which are "what are the current state and the existing problems?" "What are the side effects brought by educational equity?" "What are the reasons?" as well as "how to realize the educational equity?" Those questions will be answered in the following four parts. First part, introduce the connotation of education equity and analyze the current situation of education equity in our society based on regional disparity, gap between the rich and the poor and the difference in social status. Second part, Education equity brings side effects. Third part, analyze the reasons: the inertia influence of traditional education pattern, non-equity tendency of the education policy, the unfair resources allocation, and the regional differences in economic development. Fourth part, adjust government behavior to accelerate educational equity. Strengthen the equity concept and make the government responsibility clear, innovate educational system, reasonably allocate resources, guarantee the rights of the vulnerable group and supervise education management.
