The national defense education is an important constituent of qualityeducation, Under the complicated background of militaryinformationalization, integration of science & technology, economicglobalization and political democratization, as the main executor andposition of the national defense education, the ordinary university stillplays an important role in cultivating college students' national defensequality. The training in national defense quality is beneficial to theideological and political education of college students; the learning ofscientific and cultural knowledge; the promotion of physical andpsychological quality. Meanwhile the training in national defense qualitynot only strengthens college students' all-round competitive abilities, butalso expands university's reputation and influence. In education, weshould persist criterions of humanist, face the future, realistic and theservice national defense.
