| "She Bin", the transliteration of the English term"SHAPING", is one of the 1040 words that were newly contained in"Xin Hua Grand Dictionary", 2003 edition. SHAPING is a very popular health-system for the ladies to perfect their figures in this modern world. The first SHAPING club in China was established in March, 1996. Up to June 2004, 211 chain clubs have been founded in 29 provinces (including Hong Kong), and the total members counted to 30,000. Just in Beijing, there are 65 SHAPING clubs and 90,000 members.Although the great developments in SHAPING, the management department of headquarters hasn't done a research about the developments of clubs, the general levels of coaches and the training effects of each program. As a senior SHAPING coach, and one of the principal of the SHAPING coach-committee, I have been engaged in SHAPING for more than eight years. But I really felt regretful and ashamed. So my research here is trying to do something to solve this problem.The reason why SHAPING developments in Beijing have been selected as the main research object is that Beijing lays the headquarters of SHAPING. SHAPING in Beijing spread much more rapidly than any other provinces. So my research had probed into the present developments and analyzed the success methods in the shaping training program. It would give a valuable reference and great impact on the promotion of SHAPING developments in China, as well as play an important role in developing other sports. This research also provided some better suggestion in SHAPING figure training methods among the SHAPING health-system. The research methods mainly focus on reviewing the documents, interviewing the experts, using the questionnaires, investigating the testing system and collecting the statistics. The content of the research is divided into three parts: Firstly, the present development of SHAPING clubs. Secondly, the general states of coaches and the coach training levels. Lastly, the training effects about figuring shapes in SHAPING training programs.The main conclusions as follows:1. In Beijing the size of most clubs is small, the trends of developments are various, and the fee for being a member of SHAPING tends to be high. There is little professional management resource in clubs, and the promoting strategy needs to be improved.2. Most members in SHAPING clubs are young ladies with higher educational backgrounds and incomes, 95% of them satisfied with SHAPING training methods and the content of training programs. Meanwhile, a perfect training effect had been arrived.3. 100% coach hold the coaching certificates in Beijing SHAPING clubs; the age of those coach tends to be young; a reasonable structure of the coach age has been established; the coaches hold a better educational backgrounds, thus they can become a qualified SHAPING coach through a short-term training.4. After being trained for at least half a year in a systematical way, shaping figures training programs will have tremendous effects in forming the perfect shape of its club members.5. As the figure changes in shaping training, SHAPING's effects on the chest figuring appeared at a later stage, and data shows that the changing rate in the chest form is low. |
