On Philosophical Study Of Desire And Its Enlightenment For Contemporary College Students' Personality Shaping

On the basis of previous Chinese and western exploration of desire,this thesis attempts to take Marxist historical materialism as world outlook and methodology and make a new comprehensive evaluation of desire.The basic part of self-desire is physiological needs,which is not only the fundamental and primitive life desire,but the starting point of human activity as well.The second part of self-desire is the lust for fame and fortune,which obviously arises after physiological desire is satisfied.And this is exactly one of the main traits that makes human different from animals.The third and the most important part of self-desire is the pursuit for morality,showing the brilliance of humanity.This part belongs to the highest level of life desire and self-realization,represents the essence of humankind,and achieves the highest pursuit of the ideal realm.For one thing,in moral aspect,it admits the rationality of "the others",worships the"unity of others and me",the philosophy of life.For another,in aesthetic aspect,it prefers to the return to heart,thus persuades us to live consciously and happily with the others,the society and even the whole universe in harmony.In the process of the realization of self-desire,neither asceticism nor carnalism is allowed.What we should do is to find a balance.This thesis is aims at the theoretical analysis on the irrationality of asceticism and carnalism,thus helps all Chinese raise the ability of rational self-control when desire comes.Meanwhile,according to the Marx's practical materialism,the aim of exploring the theory is to effectively guide the practice.Thus the evaluation of desire and the philosophy of life are expected to enlighten contemporary college students and help their moral shaping.For example,they pay more attention to the desire and the practice of every one in society and avoid of being alienated and indifference to others.At the same time,in the process of moral shaping,selfish man's philosophical sublation of desire should be attached much importance to.Obviously,all these problems that belong to the theory and practice of ideological and political education should be solved by current colleges and universities.
