In the traditional teaching, teachers always pay attention to the training on abstract thinking and logical thinking of the students, but developing the right brain for using the imagery thinking is important for improving the quality of teaching.The cultivating and improving for the imagery thinking of students is a most important part of improving the integrity thinking for physics, so it must be running through each part of the whole teaching for physics, whichever the concept teaching, rule teaching or exercise teaching, teachers need to have fierceness consciousness, hold characteristic of the subject, make great effort to mine and exert the processing pictures, idealizing pictures, geometry pictures, graphics representation and so on, create conditions to inspiring the interest of using the imagery thinking, consolidate the habitat of using the imagery thinking of students, cultivate the ability of imagery thinking.In nowadays, in the background of advocating the competence -oriented education, aiming at the status in physics teaching of specializing in abstract thinking, looking for the materials of imagery thinking, making great effort to create the physics situation for imagery thinking, actively studying the method of imagery thinking, cultivating the ability for imagery thinking of students., continually promoting the harmonizing development of imagery thinking and abstract thinking, is the scientific choice for cultivate the high quality personnel.In the process of teaching, there are several concretely methods to cultivate the students'ability of imagery thinking: (1) In order to cultivate the imagery thinking of students, first of all, we should try our best to prepare much more idiographic and perceptual materials for students to establish the physical image in their brain. In our teaching process, strengthening demonstrated experiment and experiment for students doing by their self, trying to integrate theory with practice, rational using multimedia, can help students to get enough physical image.(2) In order to cultivate the imagery thinking of students, we should be strong in appealing original physical image and put attention to correct the wrong one. (3) In order to cultivate the ability of imagery thinking, we should pay attention to cultivate the habit of thinking with physical image. It is a leap from establishing the physical image to using it, so if we hope to cultivate the students'ability of imagery thinking, we need to apply the imagery thinking in the whole teaching process which is based on correct physical image.(4) In order to cultivate the ability of imagery thinking, it is important to develop the imagination of students during the teaching.Cultivating the ability of imagery thinking is one of the purpose and requirement in the high school physics, it also is a great subject in teaching research. In the physics teaching, comparing to the common teaching, it can improve the situation that teachers are difficult to teach and students are difficult to learn, it can also mobilize the interest of studying, and take students remember the concept and rule more firmly and longer, that is instrumental to improve the quality of teaching.
