The objectives of vocational colleges of agriculture is set to cultivate qualified intellectuals equipped with solid integrative professional knowledge and operational skills, who are competent for tasks of all kinds, who come from countryside and will eventually go back to serve farmers, villages and agriculture.Along with the development of national rural economy,social demand for intellectuals, who is to train senior intellectuals with applied agricultural technology, has undergone dramatic changes, which not only requires college students with professional knowledge, but also ones with humanity lories and abilities to organize production,viz,intellectuals with integrated traits who are able to counter with all kinds of problems in the process of production.For now, the curriculums of vocational colleges of agriculture highlight only courses related to specialities,feature narrow coverage of knowledge, which will ultimately result in low efficiency of intellectual training and students'poor. So,the curriculum reform in vocational colleges of agriculture appear imperative under the situation. Based on social demand to the cultivation of intellectuals in vocational colleges of agriculture, the problems appearing in the process of curriculums designs and reforms were studied to create faculty-centered and occupation-oriented curriculums design,which could provide theoretical guidance to the teaching practice in vocational colleges of agriculture.In this thesis, through field work and study of status quo of curriculum design in our country, depravity between curriculum design in vocational colleges of agriculture and social demand was found out via analysis.Through comparison with curriculum designs in developed countries such as France,Japan,Germany and the UK, influence and apocalypse to curriculum design of vocational education in our country were summed up. Through international comparison,countermeasures to solve problems in the process of curriculum reforms are first put forward,combined with characteristics and objectives of features domestic agricultural production and vocational colleges of agriculture. The countermeasures include analysis of training objectives of vocational colleges of agriculture, curriculum tenets , methods and contents, which leads to competence-based, employment-oriented curriculum mode.Lastly, take curriculums reform of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary major in Henan Vocational college of Agriculture as a case study, theories about curriculum modes in vocational colleges of agriculture are raised that teaching of important course be designed to meet demand of agricultural posts and technology, that teaching of practice courses, which account for heavy percentage of curriculum, be focused to train students'practical ability of agricultural technology and intellectual skills.From the perspectives of social demand and knowledge structure ,abilities and basic diatheses, which students in vocational colleges of agriculture ought to be possessed, intended to probe into the buildup of a basic framework of new curriculum design,which incarnated the traits of vocational colleges of agriculture and satisfied social demand of senior technical intellectuals in the field of agriculture. The conclusion of this thesis not only could be applied to guide curriculum design of vocational colleges of agriculture in our country,but to provide decision-making gist to national and provincial educational administrative bureau and offer theoretical reference to experts working over advanced vocational technical education.
