Nowadays the worldwide competition of comprehensive national power is eventually the competition of science and technology and talent resources.In fact,it is also the competition of science education.Accordingly,science education reform is being carried out all over the world, and the success of science education reform lies in the growth of science teachers' professional qualities.Therefore,the study of primary science teachers' development will play an important role in the promotion of primary science reforms.Since the 1980s,with the increase of research on reflective teaching,reflective teaching becomes an important method enhancing teachers' professional development.This paper examines the professional development of primary science teachers from the perspective of reflective teaching.Teachers' reflection is both a foundation and an important approach to teacher development.On the basis of the theory of reflective teaching and professional development of primary science teachers,this paper elaborates on the enhancing effect of reflective teaching on the professional development of primary science teachers,and it also sums up the approaches to primary science teachers' reflection.This paper consists of five parts.In the first part,it stars with the introduction of the reasons why the author chooses this topic,which follows by the definition of some notions,and then ends with the research methods;the second part is about the review and summary of the theory of reflective teaching and teachers' development,and it also illustrates the relationship between reflective teaching and the professional development of primary science teachers;In the third part,grounding on the conclusion of the structure of primary science teachers' professional development,it mainly discusses how reflective teaching accelerates the professional development of primary science teachers;in the fourth part,the author introduces the effective reflection approaches to primary science teachers;and the last part is about the conclusions and the prospect of primary science teachers' development.
