The hidden rules of village governance, being the objectivity of rural society and extending beyond law and formal regulations, are the temporary but stable result of long trade off and game-playing, which are unwritten constraints exerting inner acceptance on members of rural society through game activities. The hidden rules impose positive as well as negative influence on rural society, whose forming, being very sophisticated, is accountable socially, historically and culturally. The hidden rules are bred from rationality of homo economics, deficit of formal rules, logic of action of semi-familiar society, balance of power, asymmetry of information, as well as effects of traditional culture and history, etc. The hidden rules take place permanently in rural governance, whose best ways to dissolve those negative effects include sound establishment of law and policy regulation, advancement of public information, enhancement of transparent village affairs, development of civic education, improvement of villagers' quality, renovation of monitoring mechanism and facilitation of social assistance.
