The primary problem of education is culturing people. Spiritual growth should be the most important goal of educational process. Adult education is the same as well. At present, adult education has trained a large number of labors for economic and social development, but what is lacking of is the culturing of adult holistic spirit. This non-holistic adult education has made the adult's spiritual world and the holistic spirit disappeared. People fall in the state of survival of one-sided and it is difficult for them to extricate. Lacking of holistic makes adult education seriously deviate from the true direction of development, and leads to adult education the following-up development powerless. Adult education curriculum directly relates to the quality of adult education. Non-holistic adult education curriculum is the direct reason for non-holistic development of adult education. The current adult education curriculum is already in a general state of confusion. Adult education curriculum is filled with machinery and scientific, and the tendency of utilitarianism which makes the adult education fragmented. The study on adult education curriculum has been imminent. This paper will quote the holistic educational thought and transform the adult education so as to break the current plight of adult education curriculum.In this paper, begin with the present situation of adult education curriculum from the introduction, then comprehensively analyze, reconsider and criticize the problems which the current adult education curriculum exists and find out the basis which is the non-holistic of adult education curriculum. Then quote the ideological trend of holistic education, and make an introduction of the development course of it so as the characteristics and principles. It solidifies the theoretical foundation for the following writing. From Part II to Part VI , use the holistic education theory to analyze the problems of adult education curriculum as the entry point for this paper, carefully examine and grasp adult education curriculum with a wide range of viewing from the purpose of adult education curriculum, curriculum structure, curriculum content, curriculum implementation and evaluation of curriculum, and discuss the connotation of adult education holistic curriculum. Then carry on the discussion to adult holistic education curriculum view to the current adult education curriculum breakthrough and surmounting, and seeks the new direction for the adult education curriculum development.
