Students have formed opinions to things and phenomenon before learning new knowledge formally according to daily experience during interacting with nature and society environment; Or in the process of studying,students also form opinions which are not consistent with scientific ideas, these opinions are called preconception.Many researches show that, when they learn new knowledge, students try to connect text content with theirs original knowledge that is individual opinion, and they think them are reasonable in explaining and judging the daily phenomena and facts, so they often hardly give up or change them. And among teaching practice,many students refuse to change their ideas despite of being taught repeatedly. Students'original views and opinions are potential,spontaneous and unobservable, so, to our teaching, how to ascertain preconception, and which teaching tactics can be adopted to help students change them, have been urgent problems to be solved. so under the guidance of theory of constructivism, we inquired and analyzed preconception of students in junior high school, which about"admixture","molecule","atom"and"element". The study discovered that, students have massive preconceptions about these three concepts, which have effects on forming correct scientific concepts to students. On the basis of outcome, we framed some teaching strategy to diagnose students'preconceptions:with inquiry, enable students to experience problem solving process, and make students effectively build concept; through model, enable students to build micro imagination on the macro material and the phenomenon, deepen students'understanding of the scientific concept; with the experiments, enable students to understand the essential feature of the scientific concept; with the chemical history, help students understand the scientific concept completely to consolidate students'holding of scientific concept.Preconception plays an important role in conception-studying of chemistry to students, the study in preconceptions is also advanced problem in the field of chemistry teaching psychology, we hope our study is helpful to the developing of chemistry conception teaching.
