Vocabulary is one of the important objects in foreign language teaching, for whether a learner's vocabulary is properly large or not would finally be concerned with his or her ability in every aspect in the language, such as listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writhing, etc. High school English study is perhaps the most important stage for learners. This study, based on the theories on vocabulary learning and applied to the teaching strategies on vocabulary, aims to obtain the effects of the appliance of these strategies. We find that the vocabulary ability of the target group students, after a study course of three months, has improved obviously, besides that, the students in the target groups are more likely to employ efficient reading skills. Hence, the appliance of vocabulary strategy is feasible in everyday school teaching. Therefore, it is necessary for the teachers to find all the more new materials and better ways in vocabulary teaching or training to meet the need demanded in new times.
