On the basis of sorting out the theories on the Chinese imbalanced sex ratio at birth, this paper generalizes the conditions, traits of the SRB in the minority areas of southwest China and the measures of addressing the imbalanced SRB, which are adopted by the local governments. Through investigating the effects of addressing the imbalanced SRB comprehensively by laws and regulations in the southwest minority areas, this paper analyzes the innovations and defects of the related laws and regulations in legislation and their implementation, then it advances some countermeasures in accordance with the issues.The theoretical values of this paper exists: according to the demands of ruling the country by law and implementing scientific development concept, this paper puts forwards the suggestions of perfecting the legislation and the implementation measures of relevant laws and regulations addressing the imbalanced SBR. In accordance with the belief of perfecting socialism legal system and human orientation, this paper emphasizes that there should be not only perfect, scientific and rational legislation but also a set of measures of carrying out the laws and regulations humanly according to the realities in the process of addressing the imbalanced SRB by law, while combining realizing the goals of the country's population structure regulation with protecting the benefit of the masses maximally and promoting the social development harmoniously.On the research approach, this paper regards world standpoint and methodology of the historical materialism as guidance, adopts literary survey law, quantitative analysis combining with qualitative analysis and case analytic approach, and analyzes the research objects specifically from the visual angle of demography, sociology, ethnology, law, e(?).
