2008 is a harvest year for China except on the team sports. Among all the team sports, baseball is very popular and well developed in our neighborhoods Japan, Korean and Chinese Taipei. Mean while, baseball in China is still in a low level. The situation took place not only in National level, professional level but in the understanding of amateurs. And the key reason is that people in China are short of opportunity to taste baseball.After take a SWOT analysis on baseball environment in China, we found baseball should be a sport suitable for Chinese, if it is promoted in a proper way.Via some benchmarking study on similar market, we suggest taking a grass-route promotion by holding event in communities. At the same time, by using HoHoball, which is a new, easy and low barrier baseball game, build a follow up means with the community, which will grow the root of baseball in the spot.The study described the product, pricing, promotion and place of the promotion in the communities. While describing the method of the event, all detail will be mentioned from a angle of view of a participation. Per the follow up process, when participation will be charged, a pricing sensitive model will be used to make a price. When talked about the promotion process, a proper way will be confirmed after some data analysis. Due to the difference of each city, we will fix on some principle about how to choose a place to held the event in different cities. A budget will be give out in the last providing a concept to the potential promoter.In the end of the study, we bring some quantificational guideline to asses the result of the promotion. And prospect the baseball market in China in 10 years after the activities.
