The essay undergoes a discussion over mass society theory, resource mobilization theory and political process model (all of which belongs to the theory of social movement) on their applications in explaining behavioral selectivity of the collective resistances held by Chinese homeowners. It also stretches its interest in the effects that hatred, organization and social network have on the behavioral selectivity of collective resistances of homeowners, so as to unveil the inner behavioral logic of these actions. Laying foundations on the data collected from the comprehensive survey conducted on the situations of youth in Nanhui District, the author makes use of Binary Logistic model to examine upon the hypothesis proposed, indicating that hatred is a constant in the behavioral selectivity of the homeowners' collective resistances instead of the idea that the more the hatred, the greater the chance that the homeowners might have taken part in the collective resistances. The middle-level organization is acting as an inhibitor in the course of the collective resistances; on the microscope scale, however, the more intro-community social network one boosts, the more inclination one has to participate in the collective resistances, while the relationship between the social network outside the community and its influences on the behavioral selectivity of owners' collective resistances has not be validated. Therefore, this essay offers the behavioral logic for individual's participation in collective resistances: the hatred among a community serves as the premium for the generation of collective resistances, under which condition, the existence of middle-level organization acts as the channel through which homeowners vent their aggressions, usually accompanied by the degrading of hatred, thus diminishing the probability of the outburst of collective resistances; on the other hand, the intro-community social network functions to the contrary of the homeowner committee: once the intro-community social network combines with hatred, it is due to stimulate the formation of collective resistance frame and eventually led to the outburst of owners' collective resistances. Finally, the author suggests that it is vital to take on the resource mobilization theory as the core theory in analyzing homeowners' collective resistances and bring the inhibitory function of organization into the frame of the resource mobilization theory with modification on its over-emphasis on outer resources for the critical development of the research.
