The Community Urban Floating Population’s Social Network Construction Research

Social network has irreplaceable function for the floating populations who survive and develop in the city, and their first career choice depend more on their own social network. They learn survival skills with the urban residents in the way of interaction, and get familiar with the city’s cultural norms and the new value oriented. This paper takes Qi Lipu community in Yan’an City as an example, using field methods, questionnaire methods, and no structure interview methods to collect the first-hand material. Through the analysis to the material, the author gives a vivid description of the construction in Qi Lipu community’s floating population’s social networks basic situation. And the meanwhile, the author studied the community social network construction of floating population action strategy and the social network construe impaction to the floating population, research and analysis the factors affecting the social network construction of floating population. The author got the answer that is in this community the floating population in the social network construction exists high convergence and low heterogeneity characteristics. Particularly in the construction of its primary social network, choosing the own homogeneous tendency is particularly obvious. Along with the time increases of the floating population in the city and other reasons, the role of the primary social network reduced gradually, the power of the subprime social network has prominent, as the main origin of the community of floating population material and spiritual support. In the process of their social network construction, floating population mainly through the "find relationship" to getting know the city residents. In examining the construction of floating population community social networks’ influence factors: the floating population gender, cultural level, income, former residence, city life fixed number of year and master degree in different dialects are well influence the floating population in the construction of social network, age and marital status of the construction of the social network the influence degree is low.
