With the development of education, the digitized study resources is becoming richer and richer, the education has a great change from the idea to the form. The multimedia teaching makes a big proportion in the modernized education, but it doesn't achieve the effect that people once anticipated.With the reform of the basic education and the development of the computer multimedia technology, the integration between instructional design and practice need a higher demand.Instructional Design theory and its practice attract more and more people's attention. In the 1960s , Instructional design rises in the western and its practicality is strong. The experts of Instructional design use the theory do a series of experiments and published a lot of research monographs. The study has been made on certain results. But we must admit that Instructional Design theory and practice, there are a series of issues.Learning in multimedia environment is affected by many internal and external factors, which calls for the teaching models and strategies must also change accordingly.Practice is blind without theory. There are a large number of theories about motivation and learning, particularly in the multimedia environment. But there are not comprehensive theory about multimedia environment and learning, also don't consider the volition. Based on John.M.Kelle's MVP and according to the present situation that teacher using multimedia, this article proposes several measures to improve the multimedia teaching's quality, also to understand the multimedia teaching rationally.To make the operation of Instructional Design effective, according the MVP's ideas and features, the author of this article has done an experiment in the classroom and make《Dreamweaver MX 2004》as an example. The author use the software of Dreamweaver MX 2004 makes a course of《Dreamweaver MX 2004》to promote student learning.According to the views we mentioned, this article make a research on how to utilize the MVP theory effective in order to improve student's learning.First, this article makes a brief introduction such as the main problem, the objectives of research, significance and methods of research. Then, make a review on the relevant literature, an introduction on the current situation of the research and the MVP theory and a brief introduction on Instructional Design and the multimedia instructional design. At the same time, make a study on the feasibility of Instructional Design based on MVP theory and pointed out the guidance on practice and theory of MVP theory. According to the process of Instructional Design which based on MVP theory, analyzed factors that possibly exist and targeted strategy step-by-step.Instructional Design based on MVP theory is a viable and meaningful. Although this study also showed a certain degree of results, but there are still a lot of shortcomings, it also provided a follow-up study for reference and reference, and become the focus of the study after further.
