In recent years, the types of assistive technology(AT) has been continuously enriched, their function are continuously strengthened. Assistive technology (AT) builds a channel effective for students with disabilities to receive good education. Although assistive technology can not cure and eliminate the barrier to learn, but it can help students to use their advantage to bypass the obstacles to achieve their objectives. As a result of the diversity types of disabled students, and there is still a lack of aids for disabled students to get technology-related guidance and plans, AT still failed to be applied to its greatest extent, or to achieve the desired results even if the students led to the use of AT equipment. Therefore, the development of adapter system of educational assistive technology(EAT) equipment and the establishment of the adapter process of EAT equipment has become the focus of this study. This paper includes the following:Part 1:Introduction and research design. First of all, the researcher introduced the context of this study from the development of assistive equipment and its importance for persons with disabilities, the obstacle of assistive equipment in special education and the lack of item on AT in individualized educational programs. Defined the concept of individualized educational program, AT and educational assistive technology, and adapter. Introduced the purpose of this study and the question that should be answered. Finally, the researcher described the overall outlook of this study, research methods and techniques routes.Part 2:Literature Review. The researcher mainly analysed the implementation of individualized education program and the adaptation of AT in china and the United States, and analysed the barriers existing in the use of AT, and discussed the important role of AT equipment adapter in special education.Part 3:The course of the study and results analysis. The course of the study mainly includes two aspects: first, building adaptive systems of EAT equipment; Second, case studies. Adaptive systems of EAT equipment, including adaptive process of EAT equipment, individual EAT equipment Adapter table, evaluation table of EAT equipment, and supportive effectiveness evaluation table of EAT. Case studies validate the feasibility of adaptive systems of EAT equipment.Base on theoretical research to construct the individualized EAT equipment adapter system, and through empirical research test the feasibility of the system. Adaptive system guides the process of case studies, the issue feedback from case studies further modification of the adaptive system. Finally , construct a individualized EAT equipment adapter system which is more practical.
