Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half-marathon beginning to run in 2006 has been successfully held fourth. From the first pure Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half-marathon to four-game on one of 2009 Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half-marathon of China, National Half-marathon Championships, the Chinese college students Half-marathon Open and the World University Games Half-marathon trials, Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half-marathon brand has been setting sail, unfolding the economic, political, and cultural effects, while the influence of race has been increased gradually.Different from other floor track and field competition, competition organization, market development of Marathon is also relatively complicated. It is a practical problem for Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half-marathon organizers to deal with how to organize Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half-marathon race and how to plan and manage market development scientifically, ensure the quality of the event and maximize the economic benefits of upgrading event. Through literature, questionnaire, interview, field studies and mathematical statistics on the event organization and market development of Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half-marathon, this paper makes a comprehensive and systematic investigation and analysis of current situation to draw the following conclusions:1. After four years of operation, Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half-marathon has matured preliminarily in the event operation concept, and the event has gradually extended. Also, the rudiment of branded event has been visibly taken on and the international brand image of Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half-marathon has been preliminarily shaped;2.The commercial operation of Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half-marathon is lack of long-term planning;3.The source of funds of Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half-marathon race is single;4.The product development of Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half-marathon relatively simple, which does not meet the market demand;5.The Propaganda of Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half-marathon race is not enough;6. Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half-marathon has no outstanding features in its own brand. Though Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half-marathon is in the name of "Jian Zhen", the spirit of Jianzhen is rarely propagated, especially to Japan.According to the study of the status and deficiency of Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half-marathon's, the suggestions are as followings: 1.Further emancipate minds, change attitudes to promote the reform of the event management system;2 .Strengthen the training of volunteers to improve the quality of service;3. Expand the socialization of Source of funds;4.Reform the events to set the boutique events which meet their own characteristics; 5. Strengthen the physical product development, and promote the positive development of the marketization;6.Strengthen to get into market ability to form their own efficient team of market development;7.Intensify propaganda and expand the influence of the event; 8. Set the event as a " Festival of City "; 9.Build the traditional brand event considering Jianzhen culture as the core competitiveness.
