Today, the university graduates problem has become a central issue focus. University graduates are valuable human resources in China. The problems of their employment are not only about their self-value and the profit of people, but also about the stability of society and building a well-off society in an all-round way.With the increasing number of university graduates, the problem of university graduates employment has been becoming more and more evidently. American university and college career courses have a long history nearly about 100 years. The long history of career courses in higher education has proved its effectiveness in America. The article examined the curriculum design, curriculum content, curriculum implementation, curriculum evaluation of career courses offered in higher education in America, then put forward some suggestions to career courses offered in China..The paper included six parts:Part one:The background and significance of the research. This part mainly introduced the research purpose and significance, and the situation of career courses studied by American and Chinese researchers. In this part, the paper also presented the main methods.From part two to part five:The paper introduced the theory basement of American career courses, and the courses system. Then examined the curriculum design, curriculum content, curriculum implementation, curriculum evaluation of career courses offered in America. The situations and problems faced with Chinese career courses has also been studied.Part six:Based on the situation, the paper presented some suggestions for Chinese university by drawing lessons from American university career courses. In this part, the paper proposed some suggestions for Chinese universities and teachers on how to construct the Chinese career courses.On the basement of improving the importance of higher education on career service, the government should give much more self-determination. To different universities, different curriculums should opened to deal with different needs; Setting up major guidance classes; encouraging different departments to use teachers, resources, teaching methods, and give the intern credits to management; setting up career service class studios, putting on more outlay, more teachers to study the curriculum, and use the outcomes to guidance the teaching. Chinese curriculum need system construction. To change the situation of nowadays career service classes, the reason is to put down the independent right of universities.
