In 2001,the China Ministry of Education officially launched a new high school curriculum reform program and curriculum standards development work. After the new curriculum reform, China's high school mathematics curriculum consists of compulsory and elective.Compulsory module consists of five modules; elective courses include four series, and the topic of "Symmetry and Group" was the first time elected to the high school curriculum as a content of elective series three. As the contents of "Symmetry and Group" is quite abstractive, together with the content as an elective three college entrance examination is not beyond the scope of the current. Most of the schools and teachers only focus on the content of what college entrance examination test. The content of the high school mathematics New Curriculum Standards elective 3-4 "Symmetry and group" are rarely concerned. So the articles in this field ware not common, especially for "Symmetry and Group" guiding significance of teaching the article is even more rare.I prepared three teaching cases, according to the research results and the reading of relevant of "Symmetry and Group", and made several teaching strategies according to the high school teaching, hoping to provide teachers and students a reference. In this paper, I analyzed the reason of the "Symmetry and Group" can't open in high school according the form of teacher questionnaires, student questionnaires and interviews with teachers, funded that whether this elective course can be opened depend on teacher's own knowledge and skills, the level of awareness of the elective courses and teaching materials. Then given some suggestions addressed these issues, hoping can provide some help for the full realization of the "curriculum standards".
