| The dissertation deals with the difference between two textbooks Symmetry and Group published by Beijing Normal University Press and People′s Education Press.With the way of comparative study and literature research,it analyzes,concludes and summarizes the contents of the two editions textbooks,linking with the specialty of mathematics and the level of the students′cognition,finds out the difference between the two textbooks and suggests how the teachers should do with them. There are different design features in the definition of concepts, the given ways, the examples and the arrangement of exercises. It suggests that both of the two textbooks should draw the strong points of the other to offset it′s own weakness and know the differences in order to perfect the teaching material and be good for the teaching of symmetry and group.Conclusions are as follows when the two editions textbooks have been comparatively analyzed:1.The contents of the two editions textbooks are based on the standard,but are different in the level of coming up to the standard.2.The difference of linking concepts to everyday realities. The two textbooks pay attention to experience of everyday realities.There are more examples,especially about chemistry and physics in the two textbooks. The textbook by People′s Education Press recounts the applications of symmetry and group.3.The training of self inquiring ability.The two textbooks are inclusive,leading students to observe,experience, apperceive and introspect, achieving many modes of learning.4.Comparing of knowledge system and cognitive competence.The two textbooks accord with students′cognitive competence.The examples or scenes are different before instruction of new knowledge. The examples or scenes in the textbook by People′s Education Press accord with students′cognitive competence better.The students can understand the concepts easily,because the words are simple and palpable and the figures are plentiful. 5.The culture of sensibility attitude and value. The students can know the value of theory of groups through the introduction of mathematics history,holding the correct mathematics notion.The contents of the history of mathematics run through the whole textbook by People′s Education Press,but they are in reading material in the textbook by Beijing Normal University Press.At last,the dissertation gives some advice about compilation of the two books by Beijing Normal University Press and People′s Education Press and puts some ideas for the teaching of symmetry and group. |
