Based On The Principle Of Social Identity, Ideological And Political Education

The political and ideological education is that the society or a social group exerts some purposeful planned and organized influences on their members with some ideologies, political viewpoints and codes of ethics resulting that their members will develop their characters according with the requirements and demands of the society or a social group. On the basis of Marxist dialectical relationship between politics and economy, material and spirit, the political and ideological education inherited and initiated by the Communist Party of China has played a significant role in the modern socialist construction, making an indelible contribution. The ideological and political education in our school education, especially university education, holds an important position for its fine tradition and rich experience. It has also made great achievements in discipline and specialty construction. However, any education modes should be in constant progress. Social development puts a new challenge on the ideological and political education of college students, which needs to be improved by combining with more advanced education mode. Thus, more qualified talents will be fostered and the national competitiveness will be enhanced.From exploring the relationship between the ideological and political education of college students and social identity theory, the paper discusses how to carry out the ideological and political education with such theory and analyzes college students'psychological constitution.
