In the globalized, networked world, ideological and political education of College Students is facingnew challenges and opportunities. The in-depth studying of the effectiveness of the ideological and politicaleducation in the new era has become a very necessary major issue. Enhancing the effectiveness ofideological and political education needs constantly looking and combining with the advanced theory, so asto continue to train qualified personnel for the socialist construction and enhance the competitiveness of thenation. For this situation, which the effectiveness of the ideological and political education is not enough,this article will take the latest research results of the foreign social identity theory. Starting from theperspective of social identity, we should set the theoretical bedrock of the Ideological and politicaleducation and elaborate its theoretical basis, guidance system, internalization mechanism. Then, we shouldanalysis the ideological and political education comprehensively and find the reasons why the ideologicaland political education of college students is not effective. On this basis, combined the new requirements ofthe times with the new features of the college students, provide the workable and targeted suggestions forenhancing the effectiveness of the ideological and political education. The results not only help make thescope of the study of social identity theory has been further extended, but also are conducive to theeffectiveness of ideological and political education of college students to provide a reference guide for thescientific theory and methodology.Research is divided into four parts:First, interpret the problem that the effectiveness of ideological and political education theoreticallyand construct the foundation from the version of the social identity. Then find search the theoretical supportand basis for the ideological and political education from the principles of social being and socialconsciousness of the dialectical relationship, doctrine of human nature, the theory of socialist spiritualcivilization, instilling socialist consciousness theory and the theory of the spiritual needs of peoplerespectively.The target guidance, motivation, guidance, guidance and education of the three aspects toexplore the guidance system of scientific, reasonable, through the rational cognition, emotional resonance,value identity in the three stage of the ideological and political education from the external inculcation internalized identity.Second, binding characteristics of the times, after grasping the feature of the effectiveness ofideological and political education accurately, we should combine with the requirements of social identityto decide the standard and principles of the effectiveness of ideological and political education. Based onthe current situation of contemporary ideological and political education of college students, analysis thereasons why the effectiveness is not enough from three important directions, such as educational ring body,education subjects and educational objects.Third, this part is not only the last part of the thesis but also the key part of the paper. Based on theideological and political education faced historical opportunities and challenges in the new era, we managethe effectiveness of the ideological and political education strategically from the social identity, includingthe theory of cognitive, emotional culture, value realization and so on. Change the situation, which theeffectiveness of ideological and political education is not enough and culture the comprehensivedevelopment of socialist builders and successors.Conclusion part of social identity and other problems in the actual effect of ideological and politicaleducation are discussed.
